One Child Short

We thought it wouldn't be a big deal to leave Noah with his cousins, aunt, uncle and grandparents for a week, boy were we wrong.  Jon and I really struggled all week because we missed him so much.  We called almost every day to ask Teri and Grandma how he was doing and a few times even talked to Noah himself.  I think I wanted just a little part of me to have someone say he got homesick just one day and that he missed us, but come to find out, there wasn't a day that went by that he even mentioned us.  Only once did he look at Teri when she was taking pictures and he told her, “Please send those to my mom and dad and Jamie the babysitter.”  Dang!  Break my heart.  J  Tayton didn't  seem to miss him either, so it was just Jon and I that moped around all week.  As you'll see from the pictures at the end, there's no wonder he didn't miss us.  Look at all the fun they had!  Now that's what I call a summer camp with cousins!

We enjoyed some one-on-one time with Tayton, but didn't do anything too extravagant because it was a hard week for us working and because we knew that Noah would be sad if he learned we'd done some things without him. . . so we played a lot at home.

Napping with the farm

She looks so old in these 2 pics

Jon did have an opportunity to finally finish the chicken coop run.  It's been a few months in the making since we had all the landscaping going on in that same area, but it's finally done and we can both walk upright in it.
We all really missed Noah and gave him big hugs when we got home.  Even Sony missed Noah.  So cute together.
I stole all theses pictures from Teri.  She takes great photos and you can tell they had a blast.  Here's a video that shows how kids can turn anything into hours of fun!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVVuLoY6sZI   Thanks Teri for letting me show these photos!  So great!  Thanks for taking such good care of him, letting him play hard for the week and returning him to us better than when we left him!
